Who likes AC/DC? Thought so. Pretty much all of you had a hand up then didn’t you? ….apart from that weird lad at the back with the skin tight “factory ripped” black jeans, lumberjack shirt, complicated hair and cultured beard…..fuck that guy…..look at him with his chai latte!

Thing is, as much as AC/DC are rock gods…..and they are….. they have been a bit lacklustre on the last few albums don’t ya think?

Which is where bands like Sweden’s Dynamite come in. If you like AC/DC (and I challenge you to find a review of this album that doesn’t contain the line “sounds like AC/DC”) or blues based, good time rock & roll in general this lot will seriously blow your skirt up!

From the guitar tone & riffs to the vocals (Mattis Karlsson’s vocals are a perfectly husky blend of Bon Scott and Brian Johnson) these Swedes nail that sound down hard and every track is a singalong joy with more hooks than your butchers.

This is Dynamite’s third album the lads having formed in 2012 and released their debut “Lock & Load” in 2013 and their second (not sophomore Stu…..) “Blackout Station” in 2014. In the mean time they’ve been grafting hard on the road with bands like Enforcer, Bullet, Europe and The Darkness. The songs on this album are catchy as hell and this is probably down to the band’s collaboration with songwriter Andreas Carlsson who has previously carved out some hits for Def Leppard, Bon Jovi, Europe, Paul Stanley…….and FUCKING JEDWARD!

Still….. the boy clearly knows what he’s doing and like I say, every track is an instant crowd pleaser.

Nothing more needs to be said. If you like AC/DC & Airbourne then this is a bit of you. Dynamite are probably never gonna appear in Terrorizer or headline Download but I can see them making a tidy pound note rocking biker rallies and big beer fests and any other place where having a good time and rocking out is more important than what patches you have on your “battle jacket” or how “trv kvlt” your t-shirt is.  Weird thing about this lot though, they sound like AC/DC (there’s that line)….. but check the promo pics….they look like fucking Mayhem! Crazy Swedes.
